In 2016, Ms. Hod began working closely with Candlelighters NYC, an organization dedicated to supporting families of children battling cancer. As a volunteer, Ms. Hod regularly gives ballet lessons to the children while they are in New York for treatment. She also donates performance tickets to Candlelighters, which gives many families the opportunity to come see the New York City Ballet.
