Lauren Fadeley Veyette

Lauren Fadeley Veyette was born in Orlando, Fla., where she began her dance training at age four. At 15, after attending The School of American Ballet (SAB) for three consecutive summers, Lauren moved to New York City to study there full time.

Once completing a year at SAB, Lauren was invited by Peter Martins to join New York City Ballet (NYCB). While there, she performed in numerous works by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Christopher Wheeldon and Martins. After two years with NYCB, she decided to further her academic and dance education by attending Indiana University. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Ballet Performance with an outside field in Kinesiology.

From there, she went on to join the corps de ballet of the Pennsylvania Ballet in the fall of 2007. Fadeley was promoted to Soloist for the 2011 season and to Principal Dancer in 2012. During her nine seasons at Pennsylvania Ballet, career highlights include dancing Odette/Odile in Christopher Wheeldon’s Swan Lake, originating numerous works by Choreographer in Residence Matthew Neenan, performing in the Academy Award-winning film “Black Swan” as well as dancing for Pope Francis at the 2015 World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia.

In 2016 Ms. Fadeley moved to Miami, FL to join Miami City Ballet as a soloist dancer. She was promoted to principal soloist the following year and continues to dance throughout the company’s vast repertoire. She has guest taught throughout the country at such prestigious schools as The School of the Pennsylvania Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, The Colburn Academy and Westside School of Ballet to name a few.
